Jellurgal's Educational Excursions are an immersive three-hour educational experience. 

Educational Excursion Itinerary:

9:30 AM – 10:00 AM
Start the day in the Dreaming Amphitheatre with a captivating live performance of Aboriginal song and dance, setting the tone for an immersive cultural journey.

10:00 AM – 10:20 AM
Enjoy an engaging presentation by one of our guides, featuring an interactive 3D map of the local landscape. Learn about its cultural significance, including a video about Dreaming Mountain that explores its spiritual and historical importance.

10:20 AM – 10:40 AM
Take a break for morning tea on the Veranda, soaking in the peaceful surroundings.

10:40 AM – 12:00 PM
Join a guided walk to the ancient midden at Jellurgal (Dreaming Mountain). Discover the cultural and historical significance of this sacred site.

12:00 PM – 12:30 PM
Return to the Veranda for lunch and reflect on the morning’s experiences.

Commentary for this experience is specifically tailored for primary and secondary school students aged 6–17, aligning with the school curriculum, particularly Indigenous Studies.

During the experience, students will gain insights into:

  • Aboriginal stories and Dreamtime legends connected to the areas explored.
  • Ecological practices of the Traditional Custodians, highlighting sustainable living.
  • The significance of native flora and fauna, and how these resources supported the lifestyle and daily practices of the people who inhabited Jellurgal thousands of years ago.

Bookings are extremely popular, please book at least two months in advance to avoid disappointment.

Session pricing

Jellurgal's Educational Excursions are priced at $1350 (inc. GST) per session with a maximum of 75 children. Sessions can only be booked by one school at a time and guarantee a minimum of one Jellurgal guide per 25 students. Bookings can be made online via the link above.
